Mihrimah, Eryka and Yolanda are hosting the "Belly Beat Henna Party" on Feb. 10th at 7 pm at the Unitarian Universalist Meetinghouse, 1475 West Front Street, Lincroft, NJ. Featuring live music  and chant by Yogi Ananda on guitar and drone, Guy Fleming on bass and Tony Corsano on tabla (hand drum). We will be teaching a variety of belly dance techniques, a mini choreography and  featuring an exciting dance prop! Dangerous Dance & Pointy Props Workshop:  Learn how to balance a sword on various body parts, how to take the stage safely with knives, and how to dance with candles and martial arts fans.
 
Henna, Healing & History Workshop: Discover the ancient art of mehndi! Learn about  the healing properties of lawsonia inermis and the ritual surrounding henna application. A henna design demo is included.

Girl Power Presentation: This 60 minute interactive presentation combines a short lecture on female empowerment with lessons in self-defense and belly dance. This presentation seeks to enhance the participants' self-esteem through experiencing the power of the Sacred Feminine.
Target audience: Teens

Pricing for Shimmy Spirit Workshops, Presentations and Parties starts at $125/hr. Additional fees for travel time beyond 30 minutes or extended party or presentation length.

Belly Dance & Henna Party: 10 minute performance, followed by 20 minutes of  belly dance instruction. 30 minutes of henna designs.

Henna Party: One hour of henna designs for you and your party guests.

Belly Dance Party: 10 minute performance, followed by 50 minutes of belly dance instruction.

Private and semi-private lessons at Mihrimah's home: 
$40/hr. for individual or $50/hr. for 2 or 3 students together
